In 2010, award-winning author Rodolfo Alvarado began recording a series of conversations with Hall of Fame jockey Garrett Gomez for the biography they were writing together.

Garrett held little back.

He talked about racing and ambition, family and fatherhood, addiction and recovery, mistakes, second chances and the life he had fought to rebuild.

Nearly sixteen years later, Alvarado returned to those recordings intending to remember his friend. Instead, he discovered something he had not heard the first time: Garrett had left lessons behind.

Those discoveries became Garrett's Gift: Life Lessons from the Turn for Home, featuring personal reflections by Pam Gomez and Amanda Gomez.

Now Resurrection: The Garrett Gomez Interviews makes all twelve original conversations available for listeners to hear for themselves—Garrett candid, funny, reflective and speaking without knowing what lay ahead.

All proceeds from Resurrection support Next Level Equine, the nonprofit founded by Garrett's family in his honor and inspired by his love of horses.
